The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Digital Transformation of Teacher Training

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming various sectors, including education, and is significantly influencing the way teachers are trained in the digital era. This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence in facilitating the digital transformation of teacher training programs. AI-powered technologies such as intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, automated assessment tools, and data-driven learning analytics are reshaping traditional teacher education by providing personalized learning experiences, improving instructional strategies, and enhancing professional development. The study highlights how AI can support pre-service and in-service teachers by enabling flexible learning environments, real-time feedback, and access to innovative digital teaching resources. Furthermore, AI-driven systems can assist teacher educators in monitoring learning progress, identifying training needs, and designing more effective pedagogical approaches. Despite its potential benefits, the integration of AI in teacher training also raises challenges related to digital literacy, ethical considerations, data privacy, and infrastructure limitations, particularly in developing countries.
